Patient Story of the Month
A 60-year-old man, recently diagnosed with multiple myeloma, was the sole provider for himself and his wife before his illness. Sadly, his condition has not responded well to treatment, and he has endured multiple hospitalizations. Following his most recent stay, he began dialysis three times a week and is now unable to work.
In a matter of months, he went from commuting daily and working full-time to needing help with nearly all of his basic daily tasks. While he will gain access to his retirement funds in August, the financial strain in the meantime has been overwhelming.
Thanks to your support, the Live Like Brent Foundation was able to step in and cover their electric bill—keeping the lights on and easing one small but vital burden during an unimaginably difficult time.
